Connecting Lives, Building Faith, Releasing Destiny
Hello OLC Family! Our prayer for you is that you will experience the hope and peace of Christ in this season!

As always, if you missed our message from last week, you can head over to our website or YouTube page to watch it, or you can listen to it through many of the podcast services available. Our Sunday Livestream is also available through YouTube.

Announcements:

Remember to bring your kids out this Saturday (Dec. 17) at 10:00 am for the Christmas play dress rehearsal! We're so excited to have them participating in our Candlelight Service!

Our annual Candlelight Service is taking place on December 23rd at 6:30 pm! This service provides a great opportunity to bring friends and family with you as we enjoy and celebrate the beauty and joy of Christmas together!

On January 1st our "One King One Kingdom" service is happening at Westside Community Church at 11:00 am. We're excited for the opportunity to start off the new year by worshiping in unity with other members of the Body of Christ in Lethbridge!

We encourage you to begin to seek the Lord as to how He would have you participate in the 21-day fast that we are leading in January! This fast is a time that we set aside in order to seek God for our lives, our church, and our community in a deep, intentional way.

We also encourage you to pick up one of our devotionals, "Experiencing God," in the Connect Hub for $10. This devotional was written entirely by us here at One Life Church for you to use as a tool to help guide and encourage you during the fast!

Encouraging Thoughts:

We see the phrase "Do not be afraid" so many times in the Bible. When Jesus or the angels spoke with people, they so often started out that way: insisting that they need not fear! Sometimes we're afraid of what God will say to us if we listen, or we fear that He will lead us somewhere harmful if we surrender to His path, but as 1 John 4:18 says, "There is no fear in love." Yes, we will surely face trials no matter where we go, but when we understand God's love for us and open our hearts to Him, we are able to put our fears to rest, knowing that when God speaks and leads, His intent is always to bring hope and peace into our hearts as we align with Him.

"But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people.'
Luke 2:10 NASB
