ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
Bring His Joy Wherever You Go
Have you ever noticed how someone can just walk into a room and suddenly the whole atmosphere changes?
Something about their smile or inner warmth instantly brightens the space they enter and makes everyone's heart a little lighter.
Joy is a very contagious force from the Lord. The Bible describes it as a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) and that it is actually given to be strength for us (Nehemiah 8:10).
Because joy isn't an emotion, it doesn't require ideal circumstances to operate. It doesn't even require feelings of happiness to make an impact. Because joy doesn't come from us.
Joy comes from Holy Spirit inside of us. The more we pursue His presence, the more the force of joy can impact our lives and the lives of those around us!
Imagine walking into a room, and instead of bringing the heaviness of the day with us, we bring the fruit of the Spirit instead? The heaviness might still be there, but the Joy of the Lord strengthens us to walk through the heaviness and to praise and trust God in the midst of it.
Let's thank God for His gift of joy that is our strength! Let it be stirred up and overflow from your heart, bringing hope and joy to every room you walk into!
