Connecting Lives, Building Faith, Releasing Destiny
Hello OLC Family! Our prayer for you is that you will experience the hope of Christ in this season!

As always, if you missed our message from last week, you can head over to our website or YouTube page to watch it, or you can listen to it through many of the podcast services available. Our Sunday Livestream is also available through YouTube.

Announcements:

Thank you to everyone who took the time to spread Jesus' love by making shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child this year!
We also want to give a big thank you to all who helped decorate the church so beautifully for Christmas!

This weekend is our Christmas Craft Sale! This exciting event featuring almost 30 vendors is free to attend, and will be happening from
5:00 pm-9:00 pm on the Friday and 9:00 am-3:00 pm on the Saturday! Be sure to come by and support those in our church who are using their creative talent in this way!

We're looking for a few strong volunteers to help with take-down and setting everything back up for Sunday after the Craft Sale on Saturday afternoon. If you'd like to help us in this way, please talk to Pastor Mitchell at 403-331-8684!

Our Ladies' Red Night is happening on Monday, December 5th at 6:30 pm! This event always proves to be a wonderful time of celebrating the Christmas season and enjoying a special evening together. There will be dessert, door prizes, and so much more! Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for kids ages 10 and under. Get yours in the Connect Hub!

If you're looking for ways to get involved or to connect, check out our website for details about all of our Connect Groups and events that are currently going on!

Encouraging Thoughts:

In a culture that values independence and success, we are encouraged to use our gifts in order to benefit and make a name for ourselves. This can create a mindset that leads to us holding back from being generous with our time, energy, or abilities, or from giving when we won't receive anything in return. However, we know that God gave His grace to us freely and abundantly, and it is in the same way that we are encouraged to give to others! It is by generously blessing others with our gifts that we will find true satisfaction and reward, not by keeping what we have been given inside or waiting for someone who will perfectly deserve what we have to offer. This kind of extravagant giving accompanied by a pure desire to love is such an amazing way that we can show the heart of God to the world around us!

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.
1 Peter 4:10 NIV
