ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
For He Is Good
What are some things that you do without even thinking about doing them? Brushing your teeth in the morning? Checking your phone? Making your coffee? Giving your spouse or child a hug as they run out the door?
There are some things that have become so much a part of our daily routine, that we hardly have to think about doing them. They've become a force of habit, growing from weeks, months, oftentimes years of repetition.
Along with all of those things that make up our repetitive morning action list, how much is God a part of that routine?
We might initially think it strange to make moments with God a part of a morning checklist, but remember, making something a routine doesn't make it less meaningful. In fact, some of the most impactful and intentional things we can do in our lives are things that we build up as a habit or a pattern over time.
For example, routine acts of kindness towards those we love might seem like a mundane checklist. But it's actually the consistency of the relationship that's being built.
So what could it look like to remember God's goodness as a part of our everyday routine? Is it a short prayer when you open your eyes in the morning? A whisper of thanks when you walk out the door?
Psalm 136 can remind us a little of a morning routine.
It starts out with: Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever.
Those same two phrases are repeated in slightly different ways over 20 times in that one psalm. "Give thanks to the Lord because . . . and His faithful love endures forever."
Psalm 136 is a perfect example of how remembering God's goodness over and over and over again and giving thanks for all He has done is so powerful!
He has done so much for us. He is faithful no matter what we go through.
Let's start finding intentional moments in our daily routines to give thanks to God! For He is good, and His faithful love endures forever!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Seniors Breakfast takes place on the third Thursday of each month. Come out to the Nord-Bridge Seniors Center at 9:30 AM on October 15th and enjoy some great food and fellowship! We hope to see you there!
Rooted and Unstoppable Youth will be at One Life Church for the rest of October. Youth grades 6–9 are invited to join us on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 PM. If you have any questions, call/text Preston & Rachelle at 403 715 4086.
Behold The King Worship Band is holding a citywide worship night at the Tab Church on Friday, October 23rd at 7:00 PM. (1805 9th Ave North). Admission is Free! The Good Soil will be opening!
We're having a Baby Dedication on Sunday, October 25th! If you have a baby or a child that you would like to dedicate to the Lord, talk to Pastor Wayne or Pastor Mitchell.
Thinking of getting Water Baptized? We're having a Baptism service on Sunday, November 1st! For more information, talk to one of the pastors.
