ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
Encourage Yourself In The Lord
All throughout scipture we see the picture of fire. The pillar of fire leading the Israelites in the dessert, the fire consumming the altar where Elijah went up against the prophets of Baal, the Holy Spirit coming as tongues of fire upon the apostles in the upper room.
This fire, is a consuming and refining fire that burns away all that is not of God, and that is not a bad thing at all.
Much like processing fine metals, when there are impurities in them, the metal is weak and breaks easily, we can have the same issue when we have sin in our lives, these "impurities" need to be burned away by the fire in order to be clean, whole and strong.
Even when it becomes uncomfortable, or hard, the fire is a good thing. It is a fire that we should embarce becasue it shows us that God is with us. He is the pillar that goes before us, the fire that consumes the wrong in our lives and the Holy Spirit that lives within us.
We all have this need in our lives, the need to be "refined" by His fire. Don't push away from it, intsead, embrace it and welcome the refining fire into your life!

If you are a leader or a volunteer in kids' or youth ministry at OLC, please mark your calendars and plan to attend our annual Plan To Protect Training happening on Saturday, March 14th, at the church. There are two sessions: 9:30 AM & 7:00 PM. Please choose ONE to attend. Sign up at the Connect Hub or contact Pastor Mitchell 403 331 8684.

We are excited to be hosting a Water Baptism Service with Streets Alive on Sunday, March 15th at OLC! Come celebrate with us and those that are getting baptized as they next step on this amazing journey of faith!
Join us for our annual Family Forum coming up on Monday, March 16th at 7:00 PM at the church. Come learn about the vision of OLC, where we've come from, and where we're heading!
