ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
Our Good Father
Sometimes it's hard to imagine what God is like as our Heavenly Father. We all have had different experiences with our earthly fathers. Some of us have fathers who were/are a source of immense support and encouragement in our lives, and for some of us, for one reason or another, we didn't/don't have a positive relationship and experience with our earthly fathers. But no matter what our earthly experience has been, the Bible says that we can have confidence that God is a good Father. A perfect Father. 1 John 3:1 says: "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are!" (NIV)
If you are a father, we celebrate with you, and pray for you as you love your children with the love and gentle strength Christ has put in you!
If you have a great relationship with your earthly Father, we celebrate with you!
If Father's Day is painful for you, and you are struggling to see God as your loving Father, we encourage you to spend time seeking Him in His Word this week and to meditate on His promises and His loving nature towards you! He is your loving Father!
No matter what we go through or experience here on earth, we can be sure that God is always our Good, Good Father!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The Bridal Shower for Elizabeth is coming up this Saturday, June 15th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM! Come out and bless Elizabeth as she prepares for her upcoming marriage to Teddy! Please talk to Jodie or Sherry Legault if you are planning to attend. Elizabeth's registry can be found HERE!
- The Lethbridge Pregnancy Care Centre's "Baby Bottle Campaign" is coming to a close. A huge Thank You to everyone who has taken part in supporting the Centre by filling a bottle. Please remember to bring the bottles back to the church this Sunday, June 16th. If you would like more information, you can check out their website HERE!
- Calling all young adults! OLC Thrive now has a weekly bible study on Fridays @ 7:00 PM at the church! If you are between the age of 18-30, come on out for a time of fellowship and studying God's Word together!
- Summer is almost here, and that means OLC's VBS! July 15 - 18 & July 22 - 25 for ages 5 - 10. We're so excited to see what the Lord does in the hearts of the kids this summer! To sign-up, talk to Pastor Mitchell or contact the church!
