ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS

Will you trust God even if it doesn't make sense right now?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And do not lean on your own understanding.

It's exciting to trust God when we seem to be on the same page as Him with what He's doing in our lives. But what about when we don't understand? What about when the path is unclear and it seems that God isn't doing what we think He should be? It can be so tempting to bail, to run from where God was previously leading us when it stops making sense to us. Joseph's life is such an example to us of what trusting God through the unknown looks like. When he was sold as a slave and then thrown in prison, I'm certain he could not imagine what God had planned for him through it all. Despite how it looked, Joseph was on the road that God had prepared for him the entire time, and when he could finally see where it had led him, how glad he must have been that he had not given up.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding.'"
Proverbs 3:5
