Hello again OLC family! If you missed our service on Sunday, you can always watch it on YouTube or listen to our podcast edition. We look forward to worshiping with you really soon!
Church Events:
- Engage Youth is on again this week! We will be helping out with the Fall Family Fest from 3pm -6pm and then doing some clean-up. After that, we will have our own time to play games, have some pizza and enjoy some connecting time! Can't wait to see you there!
- Did you know that we have a Prayer Connect group that meets every Tuesday night at 7pm? If you are an intercessor come join us as we pray for OLC, it's ministries and all of those involved with us!
- Wednesday October 27th at 7pm, our Hearing God is happening! Join us as we learn how to listen to what God is saying to us and how He speaks to us! This is week 2, but if you missed the first week, don't worry, you can still join in!
- We will be having a Fall Family Fest on Sunday October 31st starting at 3pm! This is a great time for families to come out and have some time for fun, games, prizes and a bunch of other activities. We hope to see you all there!
Things to think on:
Laying up your treasures in heaven. I have often wondered what Jesus was talking about with this. How do you lay up treasures in Heaven? What kind of treasures is He talking about? The kinds of treasures He is talking about all refer to your character. They refer to things you do, not the things you have. It seems like a foreign subject to us at times, since we are such material beings, but the things of this world do not last and we cannot take them with us when we die. But we can take our faith with us, the compassion we showed others, the work and effort we put into serving the body of Christ. These are all matters of the heart, and the things that we should treasure above all earthly things.
