Connecting Lives, Building Faith, Releasing Destiny

Hello again OLC Family!! Another week has quickly passed us by, it seems that the closer we get to the end of summer that the faster time seems to go. For those of you who were not able to join this past Sunday, we missed you! Make sure you check out the awesome message we received from Joe Legault, you can go to our website (www.onelifechurch.ca) and look under the Sermons tab to find any of our previous messages. We welcome back Pastor Wayne and Rose this week, and hope that they enjoyed some time away with family this past week!

This week the City of Lethbridge passed the bylaw that states facemasks are to be worn in all public places, inculding churches. We do have masks for those who do not have them, but we do encourage those that have their own to wear them as we only have a certain amount to hand out.

Just a few reminders to keep in mind over the next few weeks:
  • We have a seniors connect coming up on September 3rd at the Kiwanis Picnic Shelter at Henderson Lake at 2:00pm, Talk to Mel & Bonny or Glen & Johan for more details
  • Life Changers and Game Changers will be starting again in September as well, 3 times a week on Monday's, Tuesday's and Wednesday's. Talk to Bonny or Johan for more details and to sign up for these amazing 6-week courses
  • For those of you who are new to One Life Church we are starting our Introduction to One Life on Wednesday, September at 7:00pm here at the church. Even if you are not new and just want to find out what OLC is all about we invite you to come and join us!
  • Quick reminder about the OLC Kids Leaders meeting this Sunday after church
Some decisions are easier to make than others. Some we can easily make right on spot without much thought, other's need some careful consideration. Have you been faced with one of these difficult decisions before? How did you handle it? Did you take the time to weight out the pro's and con's, or to think about what the outcome of the decision would be? Let me ask you a tough question. When was the last time you took it to the Lord in prayer? Philippians 4: 6-7 says this:"Be anxious for nothing, but by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" I think the important part here is to take everything to God in prayer. Our heavenly Father longs to have a relationship with you and we have that relationship with Him by talking to Him. Next time you have a decision to make think about bringing it to God as well
