ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
Rivers of Living Water
Did you know that you have living water inside of you?
And not just the fact that about 60% of our natural bodies are made up of water.
The Bible says in John 7:38, that whoever believes in Jesus has rivers of living water flowing from within them!
Water does so much for us in the physical sense. Water is essential for nearly every function in the body, including regulating body temperature, transporting nutrients and oxygen, protecting your organs, and so much more! In fact, you can't survive very long without water.
It's interesting that Jesus uses the phrase living water to describe the amazing, life-giving Holy Spirit inside of us (verse 39).
Water hydrates and protects our physical bodies, just like the Holy Spirit gives life to our inner being. And yet, the living water of the Holy Spirit lasts for eternity unlike the natural water inside us that we constantly need to replenish.
Receive the amazing gift of the Holy Spirit that Christ has given you! Thank God for the living water that sustains you so much more than regular water ever can!
