Faith, Hope, & Love
There are several places in the bible where faith, hope, and love are seen together.

Probably the most famous is 1 Corinthians 13:13

"And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love."

There are other places where these three appear together as well. One of those is Romans, chapter 5.

Verse 1 says: "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (emphasis added)

A little further down in verse 3, it says:

"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. (Emphasis added).

Verse 5, adds, "And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." (Emphasis added).

Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

So faith causes us to have hope. And we have hope because of God's love being poured out into our hearts.

Faith, Hope, Love. They are all connected throughout the Word of God. We can't operate in faith without hope, and we can't have hope without receiving God's love. And we can't believe in God's love without faith, and so on. They go hand in hand. They come from God, and they remain forever.

Father, thank you for Your love that has been poured out in our hearts. And thank you for developing hope in us so that we can grow in faith!
