ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
A Life-Giving Word
As we move towards the fall season and get back into our routines and schedules, it can sometimes feel a little daunting - especially if anything is new or unexpected.
Even getting back into our regular schedule for the year can be an adjustment. The relaxation of the summer season, contrasted against the busy line-up of school, work, and other commitments, can make our anxiety level rise.
We try to be organized and plan ahead. Sometimes, we succeed, and sometimes we feel out of control in a dumpster fire!
As we transition into this next season, let's remember to take a deep breath, remember that we don't have to be perfect, and remember what Proverbs 12:25 says:
Anxious fear brings depression, but a life-giving word of encouragement can do wonders to restore joy to the heart. (The Passion Translation).
No words have more life-giving power than those from God's Word. We can speak His words over our hearts and lives. They give us the strength to walk the road we are on.
We can also speak those life-giving words to others to encourage them when they need it.
As we move into fall, remember that we've got this - not because we can do it all ourselves, but because He has us! And when we are connected to Him and His Word, we can face everything this new season throws at us.

Experiencing God in Prayer on Tuesday evenings is starting up again this week! Join us tonight at 7 PM for a powerful time of corporate prayer.

Life in the Spirit Conference is coming up this Friday, September 5th at 7 PM, and Saturday, September 6th at 9:30 AM. You can still register by calling the church office. Costs are:
$40/person
$60/couple
$90/family

Join us for a Week of Prayer and Fasting as we seek the Lord for His direction for our lives personally and corporately. September 8 to 12 from 7 - 8 PM at the church.
One Life Church is planning a Christmas production this year and we want you to be a part of it! If you'd like to sing in the choir, act in the drama, or help with props or other behind the scenes roles, please talk to Pastor Mitchell or Trina. 403 331 8684. There will be choir auditions and a round table discussion on Monday, September 15th at 7 PM at the church. If you are interested, come on out!
