God's Spirit of Resurrection
Chapter 8 in the book of Romans is a great chapter in the Bible that talks about what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross and how we can now live an entirely new and different life in Christ because of that. Verse 11 is particularly inspiring to read. In The Passion Translation, verse 11 says:

Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God's Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you!

Sometimes, it's important to go back to read that verse over and over again to remind ourselves that God's Spirit does indeed live inside of us!

The same Spirit that shook the giant stone loose from over the tomb. The same Spirit that entered into Christ's battered and beaten body where every sin and curse from mankind had come upon and completely restored it. The same Spirit that - in an instant - overpowered and utterly defeated death and the curse - that same Spirit lives inside of us!

The same resurrection power that breathed life back into Christ's lungs breathes into our lungs as well!  

Yes, we still face troubles and trials daily in this world. But let's remember that we no longer face those trials alone in our own strength. 

We have Christ and His resurrection power inside of us, helping us to be "more than conquerors through Him who loved us" (Romans 8:37 NIV)

Ministry Of Motherhood is a connect group that is starting up this Thursday evening at the church from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Moms at all stages of motherhood are welcome! They will be going through the book, Moms at the Well by Tara Edelschick and Kathy Tuan-MacLean. For more information contact Brittany at 403 929 1619.

The Ethiopia Missions Team is hosting a Craft and Bake Sale on Saturday, May 3rd from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM at King Of Kings Fellowship.  This is a great opportunity to pick up unique gifts for Mother's Day and Father's Day coming up! All proceeds will go towards the Ethiopia Missions trip this summer!
