ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
GOOD OR GOD?
When we make choices in our lives, are we assuming that anything that seems "good" is the same thing as following God's will? Are we following our own compass down whatever path seems good to us, or are we aligning our lives with what God speaks to us in the Bible and in our time seeking Him. Proverbs says that there is a way which seems right to each person, but its end is the way to death. This means that it's not enough to make choices based on what seems beneficial and profitable to us, but that we must stay connected to God and seek His wisdom and guidance in the way that we go. Only He sees where each path will lead, and we can trust that He knows what is best for us in the long run so much better than we do!

- Just a reminder, the VBS volunteers meeting is tomorrow (June 5th) at 6:30 pm here at OLC! If you are volunteering or would like to get involved, we'd love for you to join us!

- We're honouring our 2024 grads at our service this Sunday! If you have graduated from any kind of secondary or post-secondary school or course this year, please let us know so we can celebrate you this Sunday, June 9th!
- We're going to Ethiopia in July of 2025! This is such an exciting opportunity, and if you are interested in being a part of this missions trip, we invite you to join us this Friday, June 7th at 6:30 pm for our info night! There you will find out all of the details of the trip and can get an application form! *We encourage parents of youth to attend with their youth!
- The Lethbridge Pregnancy Care Centre's "Baby Bottle Campaign" is coming to a close. Thank you to everyone who has taken part in supporting the Centre by filling a bottle. Please remember to bring the bottles back to the church by June 16th. If you still want to donate, or if you would like more information, you can check out their website HERE!
- We're hosting a bridal shower for Elizabeth on Saturday, June 15th from 2:00 - 4:00PM! We invite all the ladies of the church to come out and bless Elizabeth as she prepares for her upcoming wedding! If you are planning to attend, please talk to Jodie or Sherry Legault. Elizabeth's registry can be found HERE!
- OLC Thrive Young Adults is starting a weekly bible study beginning next Friday, June 14th @ 7:00PM at the church! Ages 18-30 are invited to come out for a time of connecting and growing as they seek God together!
