Connecting Lives, Building Faith, Releasing Destiny
Hello OLC Family! We hope you're enjoying your Summer!

As always, if you missed our message from last week, you can head over to our website or YouTube page to watch it, or you can listen to it through many of the podcast services available. Our Sunday Livestream is also available through YouTube.

Announcements:

Thank you so much to everyone who brought food to Glen's Memorial Service last Saturday. It was a huge blessing to everyone there!

We're hosting a funeral service for Tsehai Abraha this Saturday, August 20th at Noon. Once again, we're in need of volunteers to make food for this event. If this is something you could do, let us know by calling us at the church office or emailing Lainey at laineyd@onelifechurch.ca.
In addition, finances are needed to cover Tsehai's funeral expenses. If you have it on your heart to help meet this need, you can send a donation to giving@onelifechurch.ca. Please designate the offering "Tsehai's funeral expenses."

Seniors Breakfast is on this week! Come to the Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre on Thursday, August 18th at 9:30 am for a great time of food and fellowship!

"Experiencing God in Prayer" is still happening on Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm! Come for a powerful time of teaching and intercessory prayer led by Jennifer Thomas.

Prayer Walks are going on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. Led by Les Dueck, join us in saturating the streets of  Lethbridge with prayer as we intercede for the homes that will be receiving the booklets from "Every Home For Christ!" Meet at the church between 7:00 and 7:15 pm!

On Sunday, August 28th at 6:00 pm, we're having a "Concert of Prayer" here at the church. This is a night for our whole church to come together and intercede in unity through worship and prayer for the evangelistic outreach that will be happening in September! Please come out and join us!

Encouraging Thoughts:

When something we see in the Bible or something God speaks to us brings feelings of doubt or fear into our hearts, our natural response is to distance ourselves to avoid the uncomfortable state that we find ourselves in. However, if we believe that God is a good God, we can trust that whatever is coming out of our hearts is doing so because God desires to free us. If we submit to His hand, He will rid us of our hurtful ways and anxious thoughts, pulling out the things from our hearts that oppose His ways and will for us, and giving us a piece of His heart in return.

"Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts. And see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.
Psalms 139:23-24 NASB
