Fan Into Flames
For everyone who attended the Holy Spirit Empowerment Conference last weekend, you might be wondering what comes next? Maybe God started some powerful work inside of you, and you are wondering where to go from here.

Mountain top experiences in the presence of God can be amazing! They can build our faith, encourage our hearts, and draw us back to our first love — Jesus Christ!

But the end of a powerful conference or prayer event doesn't have to mean the end of our experience with the Holy Spirit. In fact, he desires the exact opposite! 

We are meant to continually stir up what God has put inside of us and continue to grow in it. Look at this passage from 2 Timothy, chapter 1:

This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:6-7 NLT)

Paul is reminding Timothy that when he laid his hands on him and prayed, that was just the beginning. He exhorts Timothy to stir up the gift that God imparted to him at that moment, and through His love and power in our lives, we can continue to walk it out.

Let's not shrink back after mountaintop moments, but stir up the spiritual impartation that we have been given by the Lord to continue to grow and draw closer to Him.

Come out and join us in praying over the needs in our church and seeking the Lord for what He wants to do in our midst. Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM and Wednesday afternoons at 1:00 PM at the church.

If you are a man looking to connect with other men in following after Christ, join one of these Connect Group Bible Studies for Men:

Tuesday mornings at 6:30

Thursday evenings at 7:00

Saturday mornings at 9:00

This Connect Group is for moms of babies and young children! Come out and build community while seeking after the presence of God together! Wednesday mornings at 10:00 AM at the church.

Rooted and Unstoppable Youth will be at One Life Church this week! If you are in grades 6–12 and looking to deepen your relationship with Christ and have fun in the process, come out from 7:00–9:00 PM!

Thrive Young Adults is a leadership development program for those in grade 12 to age 25ish. Come grow and be challenged in your unique leadership gift from God! Fridays at 7:00 PM. Contact the church office for more info!
