ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
An Explosion of God's Grace
Have you ever noticed how the world is full of different kinds of explosions? Explosions of bombs in war, explosions of color & confetti in baby gender reveals, explosions of ingredients in school science experiments, etc. Explosions can be exciting, educational, and also dangerous.
Our lives, in a weird way, are kind of like those explosions. Sometimes, we are filled with joy, and laughter pours out. Sometimes, we get frustrated, and anger spills out. Sometimes, we are inspired, and hope and encouragement radiate to everyone around us.
It's interesting to think that our lives can have a similar impact to an explosion. What is inside eventually comes out. The Bible says in Luke 6:45b that the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
As humans, we can have many things stored up in our hearts. Some good and some not so good. But as followers of Christ, we not only have human thoughts and emotions, but we also have gifts from God inside of us that make us who we are! God's love, grace, and presence inside of us empower us and transform us to become the people He desires us to be.
The more we yield to His grace inside of us, the more the fruits of the Spirit spill out of our hearts to those around us.
In 1 Corinthians 15:10a, the Bible says:
But God's amazing grace has made me who I am! And His grace to me was not fruitless. (TPT)
Thank you, God, for your amazing gift of grace! Let our lives explode with your love and transforming power and let it impact the world around us.
